Thank you for your interest in a Muddy Creek Poodle. We do our best to ensure that our dogs are placed in loving committed homes and this questionnaire will help us to better know you and what you are looking for in a dog. By filling out this application you are helping us to get a feel for what your family’s lifestyles is and what type of characteristics you are looking for in your new puppy. An active, young family is more likely to be looking for an outgoing, energetic puppy that can keep up with their busy lifestyle while an older, retired couple may be looking for a more laid back, calm puppy.
We register our puppies with AKC and the registered name includes the prefix “Muddy Creek” to show that we are the breeder of the puppy. The call name of the pup can be anything you like! All puppies are evaluated at approximately eight weeks for temperament and show potential. All puppies will have received age appropriate vaccinations and worming prior to leaving for their new forever homes, and will have been health checked by the breeder’s veterinarian. Puppies may go to their new homes at approximately 8-9 weeks of age. It is your responsibility to have your puppy examined by your veterinarian within 72 hours of taking possession of your puppy.
Companion pet puppies are sold without registration papers. Show potential and breeding quality puppies will be sold with full registration at a higher price. Female puppies should not be spayed prior to 6 months to allow for optimal mental and physical development. Please contact me directly to discuss availability, price, deposit, etc. We prefer not to ship our puppies, but that you personally take delivery of your puppy. However, should shipping be necessary, all costs of shipping are born by the buyer. You may “reserve” a puppy from a future litter with a non-refundable deposit applicable to a future purchase price.
We do not cut off our pup’s “thumbs” (dew claws) or dock their tails. We strive to improve the health and well being of poodles through diet, improved genetic breeding, education, and naturally rearing poodle babies. We start with grain free diets from Rachel Ray, Life’s Abundance and Royal Canin Poodle Formula and perform Early Neural Stimulation on all of our newborn pups to improve their health, resiliency and intelligence. We leave natural tails and dew claws. In Europe, it’s illegal to crop tails. See our page on tails and dew claws to see why cutting them is not the best for poodle health or comfort.
Please feel free to contact me for any information about our poodle kids, purchasing a puppy, or just questions about what it means to have the joy of a poodle in your life! Thank you for your interest in a Muddy Creek Poodle puppy.
